When Chris asks Karen what happened to Terry, Karen cries as she says "They killed her!"
Chris doesn't even seem to react!

I think so too, but considering that he heard her being attacked on the telephone, he probably knew she was dead already. He had a long drive up to the Colony and a lot of time to think about it. To me that's one of the scariest things in the movie, he hears her screaming and knows she's in danger, but he's too far away to help her.

Good point, he did hear her being attacked.
But I still found it odd that there was NO reaction from him at all.
This was his girlfriend, whereas Karen barely knew her yet was already weeping.
