2 killers?

can someone explain this to me, Are there 2 killers a father and son team or what? Didnt really explain Seth killed the guy at the pond so who was the other killer the dad? Didnt he kill him self? Kinda confused

They don't ever explain it in the movie. Now, if you remember when the frat dude was recounting the legend to the 4 pledges, he says that '3 bodies' were found in the room, or something like that. My point is that he specifically says 3 bodies, and at the time I wondered why no one asked him about the discrepancy. The father killed the mother and 3 of the 4 children, leaving Andrew alive before hanging himself. I took it to mean that the mother and 2 of the children were found dead but one of the children had survived and was in hiding with Andrew. I guessed that there were 2 killers after hearing that. Kinda a crappy ending though--I like for things to be explained, or at least made clear.

Thanks for helping me clear that up. I also wish it was made clearer. I wasnt sure it was the dad helping andrew or another sibling and where did they come from,it was never made clear although i do like the fact that there were 2 killers made it more interesting but it is never explained who the second killer is.Thanks for Your help.

umm...there was only one killer. try paying attention next time you watch the movie.

but seth killed one out in the pond and then as marty is running away from the second killer she sees the other dead killer in the pond. so there was 2, but it never fully explains who he was.

I wasn't entirely convinced the guy who got shot and fell into the fountain was actually dead. He got up after being shot point-blank in the chest once. What's another blast in the chest to this guy?

Of course, then he gets impaled and killed. Maybe there's a rule about slashers only being able to be killed by impalement rather than gunshots.

There are two killers. The first guy gets shot and dies at the pond. They clearly show his body still lying there dead while the second killer is running around.

I love the cleverness of the two killers.Compared to most of the idiot slashers this one rocks.

If the mother and two children died plus the father from hanging himself. Then four bodies should've been found instead of three. Then your theory of Andrew and one of his siblings being the killers would make sense. Unless the director was just making it a foregone conclusion in trying to make us think of course the father wouldve been there plus three more bodies.

Some people also feel the killers were Andrew and the father. Then if that is true then that would further support my belief that there should have been four bodies instead of three. The mother and three siblings. Oh well, I guess there leaving it up to our perception on who it could be. And what to believe what happened on that night

it was two killers and I like the fact it was vague, real world doesn't explain everything that's what real horror should be. Explanations kill the true horror vibe for films like this. I always thought there could of been another family member running around leaving room for a improbable sequel. (at least back then)

Ok you didn't like the film,
But why so much hatred over a movie?

I just rewatched this for the first time in years and there were indeed two killers. The film should have made this more clear.
