That's an extremely absurd claim. The best video we have for the film right now is a dvd made in the early years of the format's growth. I can certainly see great potential for a high definition image because the cinematography, locations, and sets are ripe for the format. I don't see where one can say the source material is fuzzy since I doubt you have seen a good source print projected by a decent projector (person and machine). There have been films on blu-ray that no one would have thought to look good that do (Evil Dead, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, The Last House on the Left, I Spit on Your Grave, City of the Living Dead, etc.), so I'd not make such a claim at this point in time.
