I can't decide. I think all three are great! I like the muppet movie because...well...it's the original, nuff said.
I've always liked Manhattan because it launched Muppet Babies (which i love!).
And I like Caper because of the fancy music in the big club scene and in the bicycle scene. I also like the happiness hotel song. lol!
But please don't make me choose! All three are unique in their own way!
Why are we not including The Muppets Christmas Carol? Is it because that one would be considered 'new' since it was after Jim Henson's death? I consider that one to be old. And if we can include it, that's my #1. Otherwise:

Muppet Movie was the best because it showed the "origins" of the Muppets and had good laughs and numbers. There were also more cameo appearances that were funny, like Mel Brooks, Bob Hope, and Richard Pryor.

I think it's this one, I find it the most consistently funny.

Great Muppet Caper. First Time It Happens is wonderful and Miss Piggy is just a gem in this film. The other two are great too(I am also a fan of Christmas Carol and Treasure Island), but this is my personal favourite.
