overrated
After realizing IMDb had it at 7.1 I figured I'd give it a try. Guys, this movie is overrated. It's really not funny or clever. So many of the jokes just fall flat. Disappointing to me. The Muppet Movie is good though.

Yeah, Muppet Movie was so much better because the guest stars there were used with comic imagination (an example being Mel Brooks as the mad scientist). Also, Movie had a good lesson-you can't run away from bullies and you have to face them. The whole diamond thing was stupid and I felt they cut down Diana Rigg's part. Too bad Henson isn't alive-would love to ask him why he did this.

Just because you do not find it funny doesn't imply that other folks do not. You didn't like it so much. That's fine. Enough people like it or love it, including me, that it has a high rating.

I agree. I think the songs in the Muppet Movie (especially the first few) are way better than any song in this movie.
