How come the muppets didnt tell the security guard about the robbers???

How come at the end when the Muppets show up at the museum to stop the robbers, why didnt they just TELL the guard there were robbers about to break in? Instead they sneak past the guard and attempt to thwart the robbery themselves.

Not terribly likely that the guards would've believed them. I mean, would you have believed that mob?

Besides, it wouldn't have made for much of a movie lol
