the master
when near the end of the movie the master transferred his power to Cabren did he ( the former master) actually die or did he just resort back to being a human?
shareHe just ended up being a human again. The wounded Ranger(Robert England) figured it was a ploy by the Master to prey on the astronaut's innermost fears in his discussion with Caben. Cabren beat the Master at his own game knowing that everything around him wasn't real(i.e.his dead crew coming back to life.). In the beginning, you see a Sargasso Sea of alien ships. Other crews that were not so fortunate in the game with the Master. The only thing Cabren won, was he and Ranger's freedom.
Try watching the ending again. About the only thing you got right was the names.
shareDuring the final moments, Edward Albert kills Walston's character (He even says it in a line of dialog) and supplants him as the new 'Master' of the game awaiting new 'players'. The fate of Englunds character is not explained.
