Anyone know when it's coming to DVD here in the U.S.?

Rumors of an official release have been coming & going ever since I discovered the internet six years ago.
In the meantime, Region 0 & Region 2 imports are available from XploitedCinema.com (I'd recomend the British Region 0 import).
And whatever you do, don't fall for that four movie set from bci eclipse!
Normal is what people are until you get to know them

If you go to Xploitedcinema, order the Reg 2 Italian copy. It is anamorphic widescreen and features awesome picture and sound. The Reg 0 British DVD is fullscreen and the picture isn't terrible but it's not as good.
shareGet the Italian DVD. It makes the film look like a movie again. I believe they have even stopped carrying the British DVD at this point. Wait until you see the people walking against the backdrop during the long takes, it gives the film a sense of scale that the fullframe jobs never capture.
shareCan I ask a question.
On the Xploitedcinema site, in the "DVD FEATURES", it says "Forced Italian subtitles when accessing the English audio track".
does this mean italian subtitles are on screen{cant disable} when playing the english track?
i'd love to buy it but dont want subs on screen.
i saw this in the theater when it was released.I have a good vhs copy but would love to see the widescreen version.
Thanks
Yes, the subtitles are on screen (If I remember right they are in the bottom letterbox bar) but they do not detract from the presentation.
I have this film on VHS and the Italian DVD.
The Italian DVD is 100 times better. Trust me.
Crisp picture and widescreen.
Until there is a better release I highly recommend the Italian version.
I also bought the british Region 0 PAL DVD from exploited cinema.
DVD features full frame, dolby digital 2.0 (english audio), scene selection.
A clip of this movie is on "The 50 Worst Movies Ever Made" DVD Region 1 NTSC
I recently asked Sid Haig if this was ever gonna be released in the states and his response was, "Never, cause Roger Corman is too cheap!"
So......I bought the italian version.
It has a damn nice anamorphic print also for such a low budget film, I was impressed.
