I remember something about a movie that fits the description of Galaxy of Terror, from when I was a kid in elementary school or so.
I *thought* I remembered a scene in which someone's fear had to do with getting shrunken, and then that's how they were done in.
Is that from this movie? If not, any idea what movie I might be thinking of? Thanks.

shareI'm not sure, but I think something simular happened in one of the "Nightmare On Elm Street" movies.
Other than that, the closest thing I can think of is the "Docter Who" TV series, in which the evil Master kills people with his Molecular Compressor.
I could probably think of one or two others, but shrinking people has been in sci-fi & fantasy movies & TV shows quite often for decades.
It certainly didn't happen in Galaxy of Terror, but if you gave us a better description of how you remember the scene, and around what time you were in elementary school, someone may be able to tell you what movie it's from.

I'm guessing what your thinking about is the Girl (actress from Happy Days) who had the fear of enclosed spaces. She ended up being crushed by tenticles/vines/cables until her head popped.
