Met erin moran , she said this was shot in 78. no way!

Met Erin at a horror convention a few yrs back. Very nice lady, but i asked her when the actually filmed this movie? and she claims it was shot in 1978. No way, its sort of an alien rip off, and alien wasn't released until summer of 79. But i watched the new dvd commentary and the guy on there says this was actually filmed in march of 81. which makes more sense. I can see being a year off, but 78-81 is a big difference. She seemed very firm it was 78... I kinda knew better too, but didn't wanna argue.

Got the .pdf file of the script for Galaxy of Terror that's on the DVD of Galaxy of Terror, entitled "Quest", up on the computer right now and the copyright date says 1980, although the .pdf is of the final (fourth) draft dated February 23rd, 1981.

Just wanted to share that fact.

we should show this to Erin. sorry. but she was way off. if said 1980. i could see.. Like i said. it was an alien rip off which didnt hit theater until 79. and filmed in 78. maybe she thought she was in alien. ha ha

Films often have release delays while they sort out various rights, licences, distributors etc. I know of several that took years before they came out. Big budget films have lots of money to throw and get their release expedited, but this film wasn't exactly a Hollywood blockbuster!

I knew ray Walston he was my neighbor many years ago. He said they filmed this in 1980.
