Like it says in the title. They've been showing it off and on for about a month now on either the different HBO's or the Cinemax's, but very sparingly. Each time I come across it, it's like got 5 minutes to go until it ends. I out it in my stupid satellite dvr schedule, but it never shows any showtimes.
shareOlder movies get bumped to channels like encore so i would be surprised to see it on HBO or Starz etc. Unless its some "new" release of an old classic like the godfather. Ive seen Dragonslayer on basic cable several times. :-(
I used to be a strong advocate of HBO, back when renting video-tapes were the only alternative. Renting tapes was expensive and a hassle. Buying mpvies on tape back then wasnt affordable for 95% of us.
Even worse is the industry standard of hacking and cramming the film to "Format to fit your TV screen"
WHY? WHY? WHY? I only have 1,just ONE video-tape that shows the film in its full widescreen glory. (Blade Runner Directors Cut)
But DVDs have returned our lost treasures to us. If you want to see this masterpiece in the manner it deserves (or you deserve) Buy the DVD !
To see it as a film,widescreen,crisp and clear it will be like seeing it in the theater for the first time.
I think satellite is better than the cable mafia.
Boycott cable tv they dont deserve to be in control anymore.
