And the award for the scariest scarecrow movie goes too...Dark Night of the Scarecrow by a 'barn' load!

Yep the one with the sadistic postman from hell, Charles Durning and three other hicks from the town that should be labeled the 'REAL' Hicksville USA. I despise any kind of vigilantanism and especially, from yokels like this merry mob. And it's such a beautiful and fitting end that each one of them gets their comeuppance from the straw handed Larry Drake, who gives way to a performance that surely is awarded the title of the scariest scarecrow in motion picture history.

flimchap, thank you sooooooooo much, this is one of my fave movies ever, last time i saw it was about 13 years ago! i can't even watch some of it, the close ups of the scarecrow esp. it's just too scary, i couldn't properly sleep for four years after watching it!

Thanks for the clip. I was going to post a clip myself, but the DVD I have is a bootleg so after converting it, the video looked awful.
Yes, posting the whole movie is a terriffic idea.

Well you did something illegal ..... when I went to youtube this popped up:

"This video has been removed due to terms of use violation."

dont know why it was removed from youtube because the copyright for this flick has long since run out and their are no plans to release it on dvd.why i dont know cos its a fantastic film..

What a brilliant film. I have been trying to find the name of this movie for about 10 years. It scared the living sh*t out of me when I was younger, especially when he get's shot whilst in the scarecrow.

I need to see this movie again.
