is this scarier than that other scarecrow movie

scarecrows from the late 80's?

If you are angling for pure shock factor then William Wesley's low budget flick 'Scarecrows' pulls a few more punches, but they are crude as well as horrific and the story never really unfolds.

Dark Night Of The Scarecrow however, has everything, a solid supporting cast, a fantastic story, which deals with real life prejudices, and quite possibly one of the most effective final acts ever put to celluloid.

Whether it's 'scarier' than 'Scarecrows' is something you will have to decide after watching both films.

It's all a deep end.

It'll be awhile before I can enjoy them because I don't have the DVD rental plan from Netflix.

I have the streaming version of Netflix and unfortunately, the streaming portion of Netflix lacks a TON of movies. 

I have the same package. It's pretty lame to be honest and I notice how they include various genre titles which lead to the same films in their Horror category.

Dark Night of The Scarecrow is available on DVD and BD, the former is disappointing because it's a straight 1.33:1 transfer (TV format). Scarecrows is also available on BD and the transfer is stunning which also includes a magnificent comm track.

Spend some cash man! ;)

That's definitely true. I wish Netflix would release their entire library in streaming format because MOST of their movies are ONLY available via DVDs. 
