I know it was supposed to be a heartwarming scene between the girl and Bubba, but I found it terrifying!

I still hate gas stoves. Avoid them at all costs and seriously think the fear goes back to this movie. Saw it as a kid and really think it added to my fear of having gas stoves in my house.

Yes, the ending was supposed to be AND was, SCARY. The little girl always new Bubba's spirit was around. She even said it to Bubba's mom. Bubba's mom just assumed the girl was mourning her friend.
