One of the greatest movies I've ever seen

I define cinema as getting as close to reality as possible, a bit like Kieslowski said, we can never truly film it, we can only try to get near it, this film gets near it, it touches the post war sadness of any culture, the anger at being used as cannon fodder and the bitterness against those who exploit, It also explores fidelity, how we grieve, how we love and the nature of fear , this is one of the most complex films I've ever seen hiding in a character study that a story serves, wonderful viewing, thank you to all who made it.
