Book is available

Contrary to what some apparently believe, the book is still available in the bookshop. I bought my copy last year in the specialised German bookstore in Amsterdam, Die Weisse Rose. I have to admit: my copy is in German, I don't about English translations, but check on Amazon. Fortunately, the German version has not been modernised, the design is still authentically 'seventies', with gloomy black-and-white pictures of Bahnhof Zoo and portraits of (mostly) deceased H-addicts from the Berlin heroin scene. You can still feel the haunting atmosphere.

what is the title of the book?

I don't know if you meant the English or German title, the English one is - Christiane F: Autobiography of a Girl of the Streets and Heroin Addict. The German one is the same as the film - Wir Kinder Von Bahnhof Zoo. But if you're looking on amazon.com, you'll find results for just Christiane F. as well. Hope that helps.

I've searched for years for this book, I owned it as a teenager but it got lost along the way, the english version is near impossible to find, and comes with a very high price tag. I got lucky and scored a copy on an NZ site similar to EBay for $26, good thing the seller didnt know my limit was $77 due to how much I knew the books worth, she had a $2 reserve so I guess she had no clue. Covers worn, seeing as the books now 26 years old, its an original and I just loved reading it again, I dont know if that means I have "issues" but I relate to this book and feel much happier with it sitting on my bookcase :)
