Is The US Version Cut?
I've just seen this movie for the first time, and have recently gone on to read Roger Ebert's review of it.
"We see unspeakable sights: a junkie leaping over a toilet stall to yank the needle from Christiane's arm and plunge it into his own"
This is one of the most shocking moments in the UK DVD version, because the junkie injects the needle into his neck, and not his arm, creating a small wound that ejects an ongoing jet of blood that doesn't faze him in the slightest.
Does this happen in the US version, or has it been altered?
