Bowie??

hey, i was woundering waht the link was between David Bowie and the film? did he only do the music to the film are was he apart of anything else?

reply

well, there's the long scene where bowie is performing the title track from station to station..

reply

Well, it's a movie about heroin-addicts in Berlin in the 70s. Bowie was living in Berlin for quite some time in the 70s and he also had his fair share of heroin-addiction... take a wild guess ;)

I think every film where Bowie is acting is delightful...

I don't remember if it was the same in the film, but in the book Christiane said it was during a Bowie concert that she realised how deep she had gotten into the drugs - I think the song was something like "you can't go back" (Bowie fans, help me out here!) or "you've gone too far".

When in doubt, I always say, wear black. You can never go wrong with black.

Actually it was the exact Song he performed in the Movie 'station to Station'the lyrics She quoted in the book were from the part where the Song speeds up and he sings "its too late..."

I love that song and I love that scene!

Naughty naughty!

erm this is slightly off topic but does anyone know what was the full text written on the wall in room when christiane and detlev found axel dead? i thought i might be from some david bowie song, anyone have any idea?

reply

I guess what is written is this:
Can you dream about anything?
Can you really be sure you are not dreaming?
Can you dream? Are you dreaming?
Have you pinched yourself to see that you weren't dreaming
