Hey I was wondering if by any chance anyone knew where I can get a hold of the uncut 138 minute original version of Christiane F. Is the one on Amazon.co.uk uncensored? It doesn't say...so I don't know if it is or isn't and it probably isn't because it's most likely 135 minutes like all the rest! It would be very helpful if anyone knew where I could find the 138 minute version and I would appreciate it if he/she informed me. -Thanks

The above poster is wrong. The dubbed version is cut but you can find the undubbed, German w/ english subtitles on several underground websites. The three minutes I believe is made up mostly of sex scenes deemed to innapropriate for English speaking audiences.

The version released in America featured dubbing in English and was released in the 80's years ago. Unlike the newer version that is subtitled in English the dubbed version had several scenes cut out. I live in the US so I can't comment on the German version. They do list the full version as 138 min not 135 min. I can't really tell you which versions are and aren't cut but the one released in the US lost several minutes of film. I don't know for certain. Of the 4 editions listed on Amazon.co.uk only 3 have a given running time: a region 2 edition is listed at 120 minutes only; two region 1 editions are listed at 131 and 130 minutes running time.
The other region 2 edition has no running time listed but I would assume it is the same as the 120 minute edition. You could always email the seller and ask him to check the case though.
