shareShe took a bunch of pills before that, causing her nose to bleed... I dunno why that happened, probably because the drugs made her blood thin? But yeah, she took more than she regularly took, because she was pissed at Detlev... and she picked up the razor because that hinted her that Klaus (her mom's new boyfriend) was sleeping over...
Ha! Foiler!
Actually at first I wasn't sure if that was bloody vomit or a bad case of gingivitis from brushing her teeth. What 'yourmothersbra' said makes sense that certain pills don't interact with others and she mixed the drugs quite a bit, if I'm not mistaken that night she had also tried heroin by snorting it for the first time so it could have been the byproduct that made her nose bleed. The razor incident...i dunno. Back in those days before the disposable shavers were invented for ladies who shave their legs, women also used that kind of razor. At first when she picked it up I thought she was going to take the razor out and slit her wrists. Well that didn't happen. Again it makes sense that it hints that her mother had this man stay overnight; and Christiane was resentful of it.
shareshe hadn't taken any heroin yet. The bleeding nose was just an effect of the pills she had taken that night.
The razor was simply her mother's boyfriend's razor. She saw it when she went into the bathroom and picked it up thinking "oh what's this, you've got to be kidding" which is backed up by her expression when she then looks at the door and sees her mother's boyfriend's coat hanging up there.
I know from reading the book; Christiane was actually prone to nosebleeds, like alot of people. In the book she also gets a nosebleed while arguing with Detlef!
