Slightly overrated?

Did anyone else find this film overrated? I really had to force myself to watch the whole thing through. The main characters weren't the least bit likeable, the movie itself was way too long and repetitive and apart from David Bowie, the soundtrack was terrible (seriously, that piano.. ARGH!). Only good thing about this movie was the message.

Sorry for the hating, I'm maybe just too old (23) for this film.

I'm 26 and found it to be the most stunning and engrossing film I've ever watched. I thought most of the leads were actually very likeable, and relatable. Personally, to me this film is a masterpiece.

This film is no way overrated imo.

Why would 23 be to old for this movie? Why would any age be to old?

I just think that this movie was boring. Kind of like the education movies we were showed in the primary school. I have nothing against slow-paced movies but this just didn't offer me anything.

i think its overrated too the actors aint that great either and i dont like the soundtrack either.

im actually watching this in school as an education movie.

To answer your initial question: No, not at all.
IMO it's probably one of the best movies ever.

Well Im around the same age and I think its a great film. Though I originally saw it in high school I still enjoy it to this day. Just a difference of opinion I guess. Although, if I'm thinking of the right song the piano melody is actually a Bowie song as well. Its an instrumental piece called Sense of Doubt. I personally like it (though i'll admit I have weird taste in music lol). I think it fits perfectly with the film. Its surprising that it was created before the movie. The entire soundtrack to me appeared to be made exactly for the film.

The whole soundtrack is Bowie. They were songs released in the time surrounding the setting (mainly Station to Station, Low, and "Heroes"). The pacing is more distinctly European, which means long takes and minimal movement at times to enhance the tension. You're supposed to feel more than think. If you found it boring, that's your tuff luck.

I just felt that there was something missing. I didn't connect with any of the characters and therefore didn't give a sh*t about them. Which IMHO is a crucial factor in movies like this.
