shareThe more recent versions of Episode 6 have changed the song at the end so most people wont know what you mean. I've thought this too having been a fan of both movies as a kid.
shareOh my god! You're right!!
Shame on them for changing the music. My ancient VHS star wars trilogy is safe haha.
I thought the same thing.

I had read, many years ago, that in the original Star Wars (1977) Lucas or John Williams used some swing tune, perhaps "In the Mood" made popular by the Glenn Miller Orchestra in the 40's, as temporary (temp) music while shooting or assembling the famous Cantina sequence. Williams later came up with the jumping ditty well know to everyone now. Maybe a similar thing was done in Return of the Jedi (1983) for the Rebel/Ewok celebration sequence actually using the 1981 score from Caveman. If that is so, what happened after that -- who knows!
You do know the George Lucas didn't write the score or even direct Jedi right? So music decisions were not his to make.I think you might want to call John Williams a bumbling fool if the music is the same.
