Alternate Ending idea

Instead of getting axed in the face and left burned off, I think there should've been an alternate re-visioned ending or something where it's something like this,


It's the middle of the fight, where Todd is armed with a felling axe and Cropsy with a blowtorch. Alfred remains pinned to the wall with garden shears. As Todd keeps attacking, Cropsy reacts by dodging and reflecting his blows. Noticing Alfred trying to free himself, he holds off Todd by knocking him down.

Cropsy backs out, where he grabs Alfred as rather hostage instead of bait. Todd still tries to aim towards Cropsy while also trying to avoid killing Alfred in the process. As Cropsy still remains behind Alfred, he begins to show more on the open, giving Todd a good chance on hitting him. Having a chance, he swings his axe, only for Cropsy to dodge it and instead accidentally hitting Alfred in the shoulder, killing him. Todd knocks Cropsy's blowtorch out of his hands with the axe, with only Cropsy having his garden shears. Cropsy stands his grounds and Todd begins to charge in with the axe, only for Cropsy to stab Todd in the chest with his shears, making him back off.

Wounded, Todd flees with his weapon as Cropsy grabs his blowtorch. Following him from an open entrance that leads to the massive lake, Cropsy continues to run after Todd, where he finds him, now bloody from his wound, standing near the lake. Todd taunts Cropsy by saying "What are you waiting for, huh? You want revenge? Come and get me!", only for Cropsy to get knocked down by Todd. As Todd prepares to kill him, Cropsy uses his blowtorch and scorches his chest, causing Todd to be engulfed in flames. As Cropsy stands back up, he finally scorches him again as Todd is seemingly killed by the flames and falls down the hills until his body lands into the lake. As Cropsy walks towards the river, he sees Todd's scorched body washed up on the shore. He approaches the body, where he looks down one last time, before he turns off his blowtorch and walks away, completing his revenge.


At the end, the campfire story is different,

"Cropsy lives... in the forest... in THIS forest... a maniac gone insane. While they searched, the two victims were never found again, and Cropsy had his revenge completed... but he lives in insanity. They say, he lives on whatever he can catch... eats them raw, alive maybe.

Each year, he finds anyone left that did the terrible things to him. Tracking them down, as much as possible. He lives, prowling in the forest... hunting through the darkness. Right now, he's out there... watching... waiting... don't look, he'll see you. Don't breathe, he'll hear you...

Don't move... YOU'RE DEAD!"
