Just some insane, freaky 80s horror. Goes pretty hard from the start, though.
This movie doesn't waste any time. Three kids come into the world during an eclipse, cut to about a decade later and they are soulless pre teens starting a killing spree.
These cops are pretty inept, even by horror movie standards. You'd think things in that neighborhood would get a little more tense. People should be worried there's a serial killer in the area once the dead bodies start to stack up. No one seems that worried. The mom doesn't think twice about leaving her younger daughter for a few days after her older daughter is worried.
I also like how they don't really bother looking at the wounds on the sheriff very closely, much less do an autopsy. Or they would have realized he wasn't killed by hitting his head after a fall.
Nice of the older daughter to leave the hole in the wall of her bedroom after she finds out it's being used to spy on her. It makes it possible for her sister to shoot her point blank in the eye later. One of the better death scenes.
Yes, we were aren't supposed to give this one any thought, but I did anyway.
