Reason why is cause David didn't really kill himself like he was suppose to instead he got shot at the end by the cops and least they could show was Wat happened to Jack

If you accept the sequel as canon, then Jack would still be in limbo even after David's death because Alex's pregnancy ensures the wolf's bloodline will continue.

To end the curse David just needed to die, not specifically kill himself. Jack just wanted him to kill himself because that would be the quickest and easiest way to have David die. A lot less troublesome than the mess he caused in Piccadilly Square.
