Megan's character is just plain unlikeable

Actually found her unbearable. I wonder if the writer/director knew how badly they were portraying her. She was not in the least bit sympathetic. It was hard to watch her. The combination of her casually destroying people (especially Theresa) while at the same time putting on the simpering little girl act was really repellent. Nothing in the end redeemed her either - not the small selfish glimpse of awareness, which was all about her as a reporter - not about the people she either completely or partially destroyed.

Yechh. I feel like bleaching my brain.

I would say the recognition of what she'd done provided a small amount of redemption. Not a huge amount, a (holds thumb and index finger REEEALLY close) SMALL amount. But this film is all about a flawed, overambitious, overconfident, overentitled journalist, whose naivete and lack of wisdom are the chief causes of all the trouble.
