OCD question - 'series' or 'Mini series'

I got hold of an old copy of this 1981 edition, but I've not seen it yet.

My question is: what does it "feel" like when you're watching it?

Like a "Mini series" (as it is classed on imdb), that is a "whole thing" in 6 instalments;

or like a (short) TV comedy "series", where you can watch one episode at a time (like Manchild, The Office, etc.).

I know this question sounds weird, but it matters to me - I just want to know whether I can start watching it when I have 30 minutes spare time on my hands, or whether I should wait for a moment when I have time for the whole 3hours+.

You have to wtch this in order otherwise it will make no sence whatsoever.

Thanks for replying. I know that my initial message was very abstruse.
My question was whether you'd regard watching all the episodes in one go as highly preferable to spreading watching them over several days, or whether you see little difference.

I don't think it would make a lot of difference. When it was first on the episodes were a week apart. Also there is a recap on most episodes.

By British standards it is a series and there's nothing 'mini' about it. Even nowadays most UK sitcomes run for between 6 and 8 episodes a year, and only have 1 or maybe 2 writers. The US standard 20+ week season with a huge team of writers is a different kettle of fish. Babel fish I guess...
