THE TV-SERIES vs THE RADIO SERIES

So I have a couple of questions. I know the Radio series adapts all the books with the same cast as the TV-show. As far as I know, the TV-Show only adapts the first two books, which to be fair was all there was of the radio show when it was cancelled until they brought it back in the 2000s in order to completley adapt all the books.

My question, to fans of the Hitchhiker's Guide, since I'm a newbie and I'd love to get into it, which version is better, the original radio show or the TV-show?

The movie is not here, because generally the movie is considered terrible, and I really can't disagree

Well actually the radio series is the original not the book or the TV series. Though the later series was a direct adaptation from the later books.
The TV series is good and was my first version of the story however due to the limited budget and the medium it's presented in you can't get a lot of the jokes.
