The creator of the show, Steven J Cannell, said in a radio interview that a script for a movie is floating around out there. Hopefully a movie will be made shortly. You should give the show another watch

But I seriously would recommend seeing the original TV show, it still remains quite a unique and enjoyable experience. ;)
