If they ever do make a movie out of this...

Please, please, lose the rebels without a clue class of teenage idiots, they were a horrible clique in the 1981, imagine how they'd come across now?

They always reminded me of Mr. Kotter's class, after a bad crash course in acting techniques.

I just started watching the DVD's and everytime they show up I want to scream.

I liked Ralph's students... until Season 3, that is. THEN I wanted to scream when they came on screen.

Wait a minute... who am I here?

I remember by the late 80s and hell even the mid 80s, the class already looked ridiculously dated and stupid with their bell bottoms and 70s style in 1981/'82. Very 70ish/early early 80s. Yes they did seem like a ripoff of Mr. Kotter's "Sweathogs". Then in the 1982-'83 season they got the Tony and Rhonda wannabees characters.

Their lingo was awful:

"say Jim"

"yeah man, let's get doooowwn"

"don't start no static with me"

"you mess with my girl I'm gonna pop you in the melon again, you hear!?"

My god, did people really talk that way in the 70s and early 80s? It almost sounds 1950s. I hated, HATED the way the class talked and it's embarrassing to know that I was technically around back then. I was alive but way too young to really remember that part of the 80s.
