Has anyone else ever noticed that...

...the emblem on Ralph's super-suit resembles the Red Dragon Tong tattoo, worn by Count Lippi, in the 007 film THUNDERBALL?

I've heard two different stories as to the logo's origin. One, that it resembled the shape of a pair of scissors held upside down. The second is that it's part of the Kanji for 'middle.'

Here's an example: http://jisho.org/words?jap=&eng=middle&dict=edict&romaji=o n

You're welcome. As I mentioned, they're stories. The sources are as follows:

The 'scissors' scenario - interview with Stephen J. Cannell in "Age of TV Heroes" book (available here: http://www.amazon.com/Age-Heroes-Live-Action-Adventures-Characters/dp/ 1605490105/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1364792206&sr=1- 1&keywords=age+of+tv+heroes)

The Kanji scenario - from the old Greatest American Hero Homepage.

No.

However, I DID notice that it bears a striking resemblance to the Chinese symbol for China. (Maybe it was a different kind of aliens who made the suit. )
