Breaking: GAH Series Reboot in the Works at Fox

The writers responsible for 22 Jump Street and The Lego Movie are slated to reboot the series for Fox. Tawnia McKiernan, daughter of the late Stephen J. Cannell (who created the original series), is also an executive producer. Here's the scenario (pun intended):

The one-hour action comedy project will offer a new take on the classic series and will revolve around an inner-city teacher named Isaac whose discovery of a superhero suit which also gives him superhuman abilities. Unfortunately for Isaac, he hates wearing the suit and has to learn how to use its powers by trial and error because he quickly misplaces the suit's instructions. He also has to deal with a government handler who has very different objectives than him and struggles as to whether he should use his newfound gifts to help others or just himself.

Logically, I would say this series will premiere next fall. But it's also possible it could premiere in the spring of 2015 - just like the original series.

In order for that to happen, they have to cast and film a pilot episode and hope it gets picked up by Fox.

I like the idea of a new series better than a movie.A movie would just turn out to be an out right spoof meant to lampoon the series like 21 jump street did.Although there's no mention of the aliens in this new scenario. Are they changing the origins of the suit.
