The Complete Fall Guy on Dvd Sets over at DVDDiesel

So apparently they are selling early television dubs of this early 80's classic that has yet to appear on the dvd format.

I was wondering if anyone out there has purchased this set from this company? If so how is the overall product?Picure?Sound?Menu & chapter screens?

Or perhaps you have purchased other sets through this company or know someone who has and you could comment on them.

I am always little sceptical when i see these companies advertise these types of things. They talk about satisfaction guaranteed and all that other kind of hooey!

You know as well as i do once they have your money they don't give a rats-ass about you.

But,seeings how this is not available as of yet and the other sites(ioffer,Ebay)do not seem to have the coplete series(as this site clearly says it does)i wanna know a little more about it.

You'd figure this company would a least provide feedback on their site.I guess problem is,if they did, people might be less inclined to wanna buy form them.

Just my thoughts.What r yours?

I bought a set of these DVDs in january 2007. The company had a different name then but the site/graphics are the same and so are the covers of the disks to im guessing its the same people.

I was really desperate to get hold of this series and i was dissapointed with the quality, id give it 6 out of 10. I have bought other series that havent been released officialy and some have been excellent quality, but this is fair at best.

The picture is blurred/not sharp and the colours are bright and washed out. The sound is poor too - very tinny. The video tape that it was transferred from was a little chewed up in parts too. The menus are probably the most basic ive seen, no pictures and not very professional looking, but without an official release, how else can you get it?

If you're anything like me, you're probably still tempted to get it anyway as i had some great memories watching programes like this, Chips, Auto Man etc and quality issues aside, i did have a beaming smile on my face within seconds of it starting (and i could still remember 90% of the lyrics to the theme song!).

But if you can, you should wait for an official release as the poor quality does ruin it, and these things seem to get released eventually anyway.

I just ran across this story on the official release of "The Fall Guy" on DVD:

I have been waiting on this series to come to DVD for years and I have bought a couple of bootleg sets of the whole series but both were crappy. Hopefully the story in the link is true.
