20th Century Fox...Release This On DVD NOW!!!

Why the hell don't Fox release this sadly forgotten action series on the shiny-disc format? Ok, then, I haven't seen it for donkey's years, but I'd love to check it out again, especially the episode which featured Lou Ferrigno as the Hulk. If Fox could release Silver Streak, then surely they could do the same for this which actually included a classic scene from Silver Streak in its opening credits?

Back then, Lee Majors was THE MAN and he was a lot more macho than the likes of David Hasselhoff and Don Johnson. Each episode I watched of The Fall Guy was packed with some serious action. One episode I remember best is where some bad guys, led by Richard Lynch, are looking for some treasure and once they touch it, they mysteriously die. I think this may have been a reference to Raiders Of The Lost Ark.

I absolutely support your request for release on DVD.
There is a large number of FALL GUY fans all over
the world. Give them what they deserve!

reply

I've been waiting for them to release it too. I even keep looking for it to come on nick at night or tv land, i also even downloaded the theme song to it and listen to it all the time.

reply

If you go to Amazon and search for Fall Guy you can sign up to be notified as to when the DVD will be released. There might even be a list that you can sign up for to petition the release of the dvd. I think that with some of the crap the studios have released over the past several years they could at least give us something worth watching.

I used to love this show as a kid, I'd really enjoy checking out this show again, I wish at least TV Land would re-show old episodes at least.

Now go get your shinebox.

I emailed Fox about this and they told me they don't own the rights to the series. If they don't own them then who does?

This was a classic show in the 80's.

It was very big in England, it used to get repeated on Saturday afternoons until about 8 years ago then nothing.

The theme tune was cool too.

reply

I would imagine it will get released sooner or later, unless theres some kind of conflict over who owns the rights.

It must be a Heather Thomas 80's thing.... still waiting for her movie "Zapped!" to get an official release!!!

Seriously though, this is way overdue.

HI

i remember it as well when it used to be repeated on Saturday afternoons about 1.20 pm. i know that because i used to go to my grandmother's house and watch it. thing is with ITV they would show The Fall Guy one week and then not show it the next week. me and my grandmother used to hate that because i missed the one when Colt has to jump from his truck and it blows up. can anyone tell me the what the title of that episode is please

Andrew
Fall Guy fan in UK (can't wait for the DVD to come out)

reply

Hmmm. There were only two two part episodes during the original network run and a BOAT blew up just as Colt bailed in the firts one. That episode is "License to Kill Part One." The other two part episode was a CROSSOVER episode from Sept. 1983 called "Trauma" and the cliffhanger ends with Howie about to die in emergency surgery.

The last time I saw The Fall Guy was back in 1996 they were airing the show on FX when they use to show a bunch of great shows! Then they altered their format and the only shows that they repeat now are like Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Married With Children, and That 70's Show. You guys should ask FX to show The Fall Guy again.
