I may have this wrong, hope I havnt but I think a re-run starts on FiveUS on monday at 18:00. Do you guys get the channel over in the U.S or is it just an American-showing U.K.channel?

It's nice to see "The Fall Guy" make a comeback in 2007! Long overdue, but welcome just the same. Colt and crew are back on TV and on DVD for the first time this year! Coolio

What station is it on because I would love to watch it! Where I live at they are about to allow DishNetwork to be installed in my apartment and if I get that station I would love to watch The Fall Guy again! I miss that show a lot and would love to see it on TV again!

I normally skip past 5 US....no more!!! Of all the classic shows that have been made this was the one I'd been chasing for years across here in Blighty! I am chuffed to bits it's on tv and my husband has already promised the box set for my birthday.......how could such a show have been forgotton for so long???

reply

It's great to see it back on screens, but (as with many Five US shows) it's hacked to pieces. Frustrating.

I cannot explain how people can forget this show. The only people to blame are the cable station executives because they do not consider in what people like. All I see now a days are shows that really do not interest me at all. I cannot wait to get the first season in the DVD box set! I will be so excited about it that I will more than likely have a marathon weekend and watch the first season. That is what I have done with other classic shows that I like.

hi

i'm glad you're getting the box set i have just watched the first disc with the pilot episode on and the pilot episode watching it now still holds up in today's television. have watched the remembering the fall guy featurette at least three times. in answer to your question i certainly haven't forgottten about this series. so glad it's come out on DVD have been waiting so long and now it's here on DVD. Still can't believe my eyes but it's here. i remember watching the fall guy when it was shown in the UK in about 1982 or 83.

hi have just bought the dvd and i watched the pilot episode and i noticed there was three minutes of the pilot episode that i have never saw before when colt goes to the hospital to see someone there and ends up punching the guy. now i had this episode taped off Five US and they've cut the first three minutes out of it. five us starts the pilot episode with the onscreen title "The Fall Guy". so glad i've got it on dvd and who cares if the songs have been removed from the pilot episode it's still good no matter what.

You obviously never saw the two hour version of the pilot. When the pilot aired on November 4th, 1981, it aired as a 2 hour movie. In syndication, it was cut into two parts, so the prologue was removed so they could put a "last time on 'Fall Guy' recap. It DOES matter that songs were removed and people who don't are the same lamebrained people who watch wrestling on TV

so the pilot episode on the DVD is the one that was shown as a 2 hour movie. i wonder why they removed the song when colt and howie go to the palomino club for anyway. probably the people that own the rights to the song Crazy probably wanted a bit more money. well luckily i've got the five US showing of the pilot and you do see Paul Williams sing the song. i'm also glad on the DVD they didn't remove the song that Lee Majors sings when colt and howie are on their way to the town of elmo. and the songs have been removed from the episode Colts Angels? glad i taped it off Family Channel Late (challenge tv in the daytime and family channnel in the early hours) now reading your post i think it does matter that the songs are removed. it adds a bit more to the episode. so how long was the pilot episode because on the DVD the pilot episode clocks in at an hour and 30 mins and 51 secs. thats the thing when they bring out season boxsets of series like the fall guy you do expect the original music. thing is if Universal Playback in the UK can release the boxsets of Miami Vice with the original music surely Fox can do it with The Fall Guy. i hope when season 2 of the fall guy is released they keep in the original music. also i wonder what other episodes of season 1 of the fall guy have had the original music removed.
