Doug Barr's Scottish ancestry ?

I must admit that I'm a bit biased here, since I'm Scottish too, but I've just had a thought from watching Eight Ball, which is rapidly becoming one of my favourite episodes - it's now known as Howie Needs A Hug !

Anyhoo, after seeing his sweater at the start of this episode, and after reading several interviews about him, I just wondered about Doug's ancestry.

Barr is a very well known Scottish name, and so is Doug's middle name, Gregor.
So with that, and his love of plaid shirts, I've posted this idea to see what other TFG and Doug Barr fans on the board think.

Any thoughts and comments would be nice, or if anyone out there has more definite info on this idea, I'd be really glad to hear about it.
