Where Was Douglas Barr At For Remembering The Fall Guy?

What I do not understand is I just bought the first season of The Fall Guy and on a special feature they have Remembering The Fall Guy: An American Classic. They have Glen Larson talking about The Fall Guy and how he came up with the idea along with the guy who wrote The Unsung Hero song which is the theme song to The Fall Guy. They had this guy talking about his song and giving the idea to Glen Larson to take to ABC. Where was Douglas Barr at? He was one of the main characters of the show. He should have been on there to talk about it along with Lee Majors, Glen Larson, and Heather Thomas. That does not make any sense at all to me one bit and it really makes me mad! If they are going to do a featurette he should be on there speaking his opinion about the show as well as everyone else. I was watching this and I am like Where is Douglas Barr who played Howie at? That is out right wrong for them to do! I wonder if he opted not to appear on that featurette to talk about his past experience while on the show?

I am not sure what Doug Barr went into to be honest with you. Yes the featurette does include a interview with Lee Majors. It jumps back and forth between Lee Majors, Glen Larson and Heather Thomas as well. It is a good length to be honest with you and interesting as well because they wanted to explain as to why they wanted to create a show like this. I guess a lot of creators wanted to make a show about a stuntman but they could not come up with a concept until Glen Larson heard this guy singing The Unknown Hero or The Unsung Hero. Glen Larson took it to ABC just the sheet music and the executive at ABC like the idea. Glen Larson did not have the pilot show even written yet. They wrote up the pilot show and then Glen Larson ran into Lee Majors at the airport and worked with him in the TV show The Six Million Dollar Man. Lee Majors wanted to do something different and wanted to be recognized for other things other than just The Six Million Dollar Man. They had the lead character selected, Then they had to select the female character which Heather Thomas was selected for the role automatically without having to try out for the role. Doug Barr was perfect to play the cousin who went to a lot of different colleges and majored in a lot of majors. That is what I can tell you.

I recently picked up the S1 set and watched the RTFG featurette expecting Barr to participate. Not sure why he didn't. Could've been a scheduling thing. From what I've read, Barr has become a successful winemaker who still dabbles in TV directing. I couldn't find a single reference to him having any ill feelings toward his association w/The Fall Guy.

I can only tell you this that Douglas and Lee remained friends after the show and Lee visited Douglas on his winery several years ago
