Pamela Sue Martin had IT going on! Thinking back - who do YOU think would have made a good replacement ?

There are MANY threads here that talk about the miscasting of Emma Samms as Fallon! But most folks agree she had improved significantly by season 9.
shareYou're right! Emma Samms was not a bad actress I suppose, but a VERY bad Fallon indeed. They should have gone with Maren Jensen of original Battlestar Galactica fame. Honestly, she bore a striking resemblance to Pamela with blue eyes, silky brown hair, and willowy thin figure. She hadn't acted in a few years at that time and a comeback would have been Very welcome.

Yes, I agree. I liked Pamela Sue Martin because she had that cool, edgy girl style that was reminiscent of Laurie Partridge (Partridge Family) and Elaine Robinson (The Graduate). For some reason, she reminded me of Patty Hearst too. Didn’t Fallon get kidnapped once?
Yeah Emma Samms only made sense as Alexis’ daughter. Both dark haired Brits.

What was Emma Samms in before Dynasty? I want to say Upstairs Downstairs but I think I am confusing her with Lesley Anne Downe. Need to look that up sometime.
Emma was well known before Dynasty for playing the love interest of (I think) Scorpio on General Hospital for several years. She and Scorpio were always on the cover of soap magazines. They almost rivaled Luke and Laura for a time.
It wasn't that I didn't LIKE her as Fallon, it's just that she was not at all recognizable in character and spirit as the original Fallon. She shows up with a British accent that PSM never had and she was a bit of a wimp too.
Agree with OP. Obviously she was chosen because she looked like she could be Alexis’s daughter. Pamela Sue Martin had that cool girl factor that Emma lacked. She reminded me of Susan Dey, and in a weird way Patty Hearst. Why did she leave the show? A better Fallon? Susan Dey! Maybe Deborah Van Valkenburgh (The Warriors). They are both around the same age as Pamela.
