John Waters Dvd Commentary

This is on the Synapse dvd and he narrates along with director Lewis Jackson. Waters comes across as a sleazy sex maniac. He keeps referring to the lead character as a "pervert" and insinuated he dressed like Santa for sexual thrills. This isn't true at all and really annoyed me. He acts that way because he has psychiatric problems. When he applies his beard and it won't come off he starts giggling maniacally because he is happy the beard looks real and can't be removed not because he is getting a sexual thrill out of it as Waters falsely implies. Waters claim that the lead character was a pedophile is also wrong in that he spied on the neighbourhood children to see if they had been good or bad so he could reward or punish them not as a kind of sexual activity.
Waters made 2 errors about other films. He mentions another Christmas horror movie about a killer Santa as SILENT NIGHT BLOODY NIGHT (which Jackson parrots) when it is actually called SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT. He also mentions Anthony Perkins directing the sequel to PSYCHO when he actually directed the second sequel which was PSYCHO III.
