ELO Animated Sequence

ELO wasn't happy that one of their songs was used in an animated sequence in Xanadu so it's interesting that probably the most popular thing featuring ELO music right now is the Daicon IV opening animation which has a bit of fame on youtube.com.

Also, I'd like someone to recut and rescore Xanadu without the disco zombies and it might be worthwhile. Gene Kelly's last film deserves it.

The film was basically complete and the suits at Universal thought the film needed some extra umph so they contracted with Don Bluth to do the animated sequence. Bluth immediately halted work on "The Secret of Nimh" and cranked out the best thing in the finished film.

Oh Lord, you gave them eyes but they cannot see...
