Am I thinking of this movie?

I remember a film I saw on TV when I was about 8 or 9 in the 1980s that I've been trying to find for years. It was quite atmospheric and spooky (to me as a small child at least!)and it had a title something like this I think. I'm sure it was set in the woods but all I can really remember for certain is a scene where some people drive over a small wooden bridge in the woods in their car. They then get out of the car when it gets stuck or breaks down or something, and the bridge gives way and the car falls through into the water below. Can anyone tell me if there is such a scene in this film, or if it's not from this film does anyone recognize that scene from another film? It's not much to go on I know, but I would appreciate any help anyone can offer. Oh yeah, I also think the car might have been an old Citroen DS but that might be totally wrong- childhood memories can play tricks on you.
