I was wondering what you thought that the film would be rated if sent to the MPAA today. PG or PG-13? I could see it being PG, as no character really gets injured, but I could also see it being PG-13 as there are some tense scenes, especially when Jan is drowning. Also there are several "jump" scenes that might scare young kids.
shareI'm sure it would get a PG rating for some frightening sequences. There is no violence, sex, language, drug use, nudity etc.
sharePG-13 for intensity. The MPAA is too "protective" these days. Wizard of Oz would probably get a PG-13 if it came out today.
Remember The Others got a PG-13.
Dude means nice guy. Dude means a regular sort of person.
I'd say a PG-13 rating for sure. PG is a bit low for this kind of a movie now.
