Sweet movie... loved the ending *Spoilers*

Haven't watched this movie since I was a little kid. true the movie could've been creepier and darker but this is a Disney movie afteral. why are people complaining about the ending? Karen and her mother finally reunite as we watch them in a long shot. they don't run to eachother with arms outstretched and cheese it up. the ending to me was perfect.

As for the actress who played Jan I thought she did fine. she was bubbly and sweet. I liked her relationship with her little sister. the dated special effects didn't bug me. I also loved the musical score. mind you I bought the Disney dvd release of the film not the Anchor Bay version.
