Did Karen age?

I've seen this film a few times over the years and had always been under the impression that the Karen we see at the end was of the same age as when she disappeared. But watching with a friend last night, it was pointed out to me that the person we see when the blindfold was removed looked much more like a woman than a teenage girl. Was this a subtle hint by the filmmakers that she had aged during her disappearance, or was the actress really only born in 1961 (as suggested by IMDB) and therefore only 19? Was the blindfolded actress who appears throughout the same one we saw at the end?

I could be wrong, but I *believe* this is just a discrepancy that was a result of the re-shoots they did on the ending of the movie. The woman who played the Karen we see at the end of the film was not the same girl that is shown in the flashback scene earlier.

Not much is seen of Karen. I've tried scanning the photos of the character from the movie. Some of them are in blur. The feeling that I get is that she is probably late teen even before the blindfold is removed.
