and I don't even particularly care for country music. I've never been to a club that big, unless the film makes it seem as if it's bigger in square footage than it actually was in real life. In the movie it looks like thousands of people every night.
shareI've been in some pretty big bars in my town that could rival Giley's. So, it's not impossible for it to be as big as it appears in the movie. I used to live in the Houston area back in the day but I never went to Gilley's. But apparently the movie is quite accurate. They had a mechanical bull, a stage and dance floor etc..etc.
shareIt was huge. I visited soon after the movie was released but they had turned it into a massive tourist trap by then.
