Dance contestant #66; he wore a plaid shirt. Name?

This attractive young man is shown during the dance contest, and he and his partner move quite well together. He has dark brown hair and wears a red & white plaid shirt with a big "66" pinned to the back. For a few seconds we can see a nice close-up of his face, and he appears to be concentrating on his steps, until he finally breaks into a wonderful smile, which we see for a couple of seconds, if that. It would be interesting to know if he is, or was, a professional dancer. I suspect he might have been an extra, but that's sheer speculation. Does anyone know if this person danced in any other films?

I too was wondering about #66. To me, he favor's Joaquin Phoenix alot. I wonder if they are any way related. Give a shout out if you find out his name.

Oh my gosh - I'm watching the movie right now and came to IMDB to see if it said who he was! He reminded me of Joaquim Phoenix, but it couldnt be, he would have been too young when this movie was made. Love the movie, I saw it on my first date with my first love.

If you're still on IMDB and you still want to know... most "extras" and even actors, go uncredited if they don't have speaking parts... back then anyways. Now, EVERYONE wants to be in the credits... probably a Union mandate.

I would try checking out the credits at the end of the movie. Sometimes they do go into detail, but ofcourse most times they don't. I would slow it down anyway and read what it says just to see.

I would imagine that he was a good dancer and a regular to Gilley's. I do know that Patsy Swayze did give dance lessons to some of them.

I was pleasantly surprised when I learned that Patrick, his mom, and wife did all the choreography for Urban Cowboy. But I shouldn't have been, he was such a talented man.
