IMO, i think Debra Winger and Brooke Alderson should both have been nominated for oscars: Debra Winger for Best Actress/Brooke Alderson for Best Supporting Actress. anyone else agree with me?

Yes. Oscars are funny. Maybe Urban Cowboy was a victim of an anti-Robert Evans (Producer) backlash in Hollywood?

Debra Winger was nominated for Best Motion Picture Actress in a Supporting Role and Best Newcomer in 1981.
