Why was it called a flop when it grossed 53 million?
John seem to be disliked back at the stage, Staying alive 68 hundred over seas yet a flop. How do they make this out, its stupid.
Best John film i seen in a while
I have no idea why it is considered a flop. This is one of those movies which could not successfully be remade. It captured the everything about that time period in the south, including the music. It's one of my favorites out of that time period.

I think this film was the first of several films where John's character had no humor, causing his fans to turn away from him.
