I LOVE the part where Bud shows up with Pam and his aunt and uncle and Sissy rides the bull but she shows off her bedroom moves! The look on Bud's and Wes's face is priceless.

That scene was edited down on the recent DVD edition. I remember more nipplage while Sissy sat on the bull before the ride. If you look closly you'll notice there is a shot (a low quality image as well) inserted that cuts back to Bud, Pam, his aunt and uncle, that was used in place of the front view of Debra Winger's hard nipples

sharePam was like a freakin Barbie doll. A rich spoiled daddy's girl who talks about nothing AND willingly screws around with a married man. Hardly my idea of a real woman. I think Sissy was intrigued by Wes but before Bud kicked her out she wasn't "laying him". It only began after the fact. Sissy was real, she was spunky, not afraid to get her hands dirty and she was cute.. more so the girl next door type. Pam was just a side piece to make Sissy jealous.. and Bud told her straight up even after she asked..
Pam: "You're not just doing this to make your wife jealous are you?
Bud: (looking her straight in the eye, without missing a beat) Yup.
She went right along with it. Bud wanted Sissy all along. She was his wife and he loved her. Had absolutely nothing to do with being able to pull any crap with her. I think Pam actually would have taken his crap.

shareI think Sissy always looking sweaty had a lot to do with the fact that they were always dancing and its just hot and humid in Texas where they filmed. Gilley's wasn't exactly heavily air conditioned with all those people dancing and smoking. The guys weren't exactly sweat free either! Bud always had a sweaty upper lip.

Why would they edit that out on a late-release DVD edition?
You would think it'd be the other way around? After all this was 1980, the era of gratuitous tit scenes.
I remember someone in the crowd saying "look her nipples are hard", but truthfully I don't remember much nippage at all in that scene, even though she was clearly braless...and I am prone to notice such things.
Hmm, haven't seen this movie in many many years, might just warrant a re-viewing to confirm that alone. 😉
