Uncle Bob getting killed

I always tear up when they have his funeral. It is so sad.

I want to cry, especially when the woman sings the hymn at the beginning.

When I first saw the movie in 80, I thought Uncle Bob was old now I 'm 8 years older than what Uncle Bob was then and think damm he was young.

The premise was ridiculous....there is no way that guys would be working around oil storage and petro fractional distillation columns in a severe lightning storm.

Uncle Bob and Doreen were the best characters in the movie. They were genuine country folk, and really were funny and likeable. When Bob died at the refinery, that was just ridiculous, but i guess they wanted some drama in the movie. Bud wore Bob's bullriding medals that he won, and that inspired him to win the mechanical bull riding contest.
